Directions for Allowing
Unaccompanied Minors
on Our Buses

  • Click on the age range that corresponds with the age of your minor.
  • Read & agree to the policy.
  • Click on the orange download button corresponding to the age of your minor
  • Download the form.
  • Print the form. (If you cannot print, the bus driver has forms you can fill out.)
  • Fill out the form
  • Bring the form to the bus and give to the driver when dropping your minor off
  • Your minor will not be allowed to board without a paper copy of this form to give to the driver at the time of boarding.  

Unaccompanied Minor Rider Policies

All minors traveling without an adult must present the driver with an Unaccompanied Minor Form completely filled out by the responsible Parent/Guardian. Click below to read the policy and download the minor rider printable forms.

Ages 7-14 (and 15-17 not opted out)
  • Note change from previous minor policy: The unaccompanied minor opted-out age is different, and minors are now required to wear lanyard-IDs while in our care.
  • Unaccompanied minors ages 7-14 and minors who ages 15-17 that are not opted out or not totally able to care for themselves must have a Parent/Guardian check them in with the bus driver and have a designated person listed on their minor form that is designated to pick them up on the other end. This designated adult must show the driver ID & sign the minor form before the minor gets off the bus. There are no exceptions to this rule.
  • All unaccompanied minors that are not OPTED OUT will be given a Lanyard with ID Tag to always wear and keep visible during the trip.
  • The Unattended Minors must sit in the first 3 rows of the bus (no exceptions).
  • They must remain seated until/unless the driver releases them to an adult or to access bathroom facilities during the trip.
  • Once the responsible person signs for the minor and the driver has collected their Lanyard-ID, then and only then will release the minor to the designated adult.

Courtesy & Safety:

  • For your child’s safety please instruct your child to always stay seated in their seat and use the seatbelts provided.
  • Out of respect for other passengers on the bus please keep activities and speaking at quiet levels.
  • Music and game players need to have headsets and not disturb other passengers.
  • Please instruct your child not to disturb the driver while they are operating the bus. If your child needs to ask questions, please have them ask the driver during stops/breaks.
  • There are two restroom breaks, instruct your child not to wander and be timely. The bus driver will make sure your child gets back on the bus.
  • Send enough activities, snacks, water, etc. to keep your child well cared for and entertained quietly. Remind them to put all trash in the proper place.

Meeting The Bus and picking up your Unattended Minors:

  • The Designated Adult picking the minor up from the bus must be the person that is written on the Minor Consent Form.
    • The Pick-up Adult must check in with the driver. sign for the minor showing their ID and wait for the minor to be released to them. Adults and Minors refusing to follow these policies and leaving the Minor in their seat until released by the driver may be asked to not ride again.
    • Please be early when picking up your Minor.
    • If the Designated Adult scheduled to pick up the child is 5 minutes late or more, from the scheduled drop- off time; there is an additional $20.00 handling/sitting fee (Payable in cash, at the time you pick up the minor).
    • After waiting 5 minutes past the scheduled drop off time, the Driver will continue to the next stop with the minor remaining on board in the care of the driver.
    • It is then the responsibility of the Designated Adult to arrange to meet the driver at the next stop(s) to collect the Minor and make payment.
    • The bus will not hold additional time at the next stop.

Disruptive Or Incorrigible Minors:

Minors that are disruptive or incorrigible may be removed from the bus and/or banned from riding in the future if they cannot conduct themselves properly. A Parent/Guardian or responsible adult will have to meet the bus early or in EXTREME cases the child will be delivered to the custody of Law Enforcement for their safety.

  • Unaccompanied minors ages 15-17 that are opted out need to also show their Government Issued ID to the Bus Driver. (i.e.: Permit, Driver’s License, State Issued ID Card)
  • Unaccompanied Minors age 15-17 that are opted out may leave the bus at a different location that what is listed on their reservation.

Accompanying Younger Minors

Minors ages 15-17 may have 2 minors ages 7-14 in their care. This minor will need to be fully responsible for the younger minors. If the minor gets off the bus at a different location than stated on their ticket, they will need to keep the younger minors with them.
